About PRLC...

SHPE Puerto Rico will be having this year's PRLC from April 18 to April 21 at Four Points Hotel & Casino, Palmas del Mar, Humacao, consisting of the EntrepreneurSHPE Team Competition (where college students will simulate a board of directors of a new company or project, will ask fictitious partnership or financial support from participating companies and will prepare and present business proposals to win a prize), Dynamic Leadership Development Seminars (to provide them with tools for the competition), Hospitality Suites (sponsors will have the opportunity to interview hand picked students in a comfortable environment) and even a Golf Tournament (provided by SHPE UPRM) for interested companies!

Puerto Rico Leadership Conference 2008 at Palmas del Mar will attract more than 200 SHPE active members, which are the future leaders of local SHPE student chapters and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, enrolled to disciplines such as Industrial Engineering, Computers Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering and Computer Sciences. Four universities will be represented: Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, University of Turabo, Interamerican University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón, and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez; proof of the national impact that our conference seeks. Consisting of three tracks (College, Pre-College* and Professional*), every leader in any phase of its career will be presented to the ultimate challenge: learn, create and grow!
